Parenting Classes for New Moms and Dads Parenthood is a task that needs proper planning and total commitment among the couples who have decided to form families. It is a transition that comes with many changes and challenges which many new parents find hard to adjust to. It is a commitment which spells out boundaries and certain aspects of life styles that have to change when people become together to form a family unit. The main purpose of this project is to address some of the parenting issues and device a plan in which parenting skills can be taught to the new Moms and Dads. Parenting is not an easy task and the new generation has gaps in mastering the art of parenting which has been the missing link in the 21st Century where the parenting responsibilities have either been delegated to a third party or completely neglected. Modern parents devote much of their time to their careers or other income generating activities to an extent that the most important responsibility is neglected.

This project intends to highlight on the main areas that need to be addressed in order to promote proper parenting. The project also intends to create awareness by educating the children at a younger age the parenting roles as a part of the curriculum. The project further intends to conduct outdoor campaigns and talking to peer groups as these are some of the forums where large audiences can be gathered from to educate the population. The parenting tips can be made online and shared through the social media platforms which can reach a grater population (Jody Pawel, 2012).
This program targets the younger generation who in one way or the other have found themselves being parents without proper plans. The society is faced with various issues such as unwanted pregnancies as a result of the young adults engaging in reckless sexual behaviors without knowing the consequences. These have resulted into single parenthoods or early marriages where the individuals mostly the new moms and dads have no clear guide on their roles as parents. These forms part of the targeted audience as well as the young consenting adults who would want to assume parenthood responsibilities and have no knowledge on the challenges that lie ahead of them and the kind of sacrifices that they have to make being some of the issues that come with the new status. It also targets the career parents who have neglected their parental obligations or roles who have delegated these duties to other professionals while they go about their careers spending little time to bond with their children which harming child development.

The program also targets the individuals who have either been left with the sole responsibility of parenting as a result of various developments that arise within the family setups. These developments…
